About The Position

The Senior Accountant (Restaurant) position is responsible for the periodic inventory and the A/R subsystem. This position takes an active role in third party delivery reporting and reconciliation and serves as a liaison between Panda and third party delivery partners. The Senior Accountant (Restaurant) assists in the periodic inventory process and leads the utilities accrual process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, with coursework in Accounting required, CPA desirable
  • 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment
  • If hired, successful completion of annual store training
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
  • If hired, successful completion of annual store training

Responsibilities

  • Supports and guides Accountant in the periodic inventory accounting.
  • Assists in the balance sheet reconciliation process and leads the close process for Restaurant Accounting.
  • Responsible for leading the utility accrual process and ensuring accuracy of related expenses posting to restaurants.
  • Ensures collection of third party receivable activity and recognition of related expenses and fees in the Customer Accounts system.
  • Allocates costs to different cost centers; ensuring that they are charged to the correct cost center.
  • May assist Manager in training other Restaurant Accounting associates.
  • Participates in special projects, such as working with third parties to develop a more efficient and automated reporting system for third party delivery. Proactively seeks to improve department processes.
