Senior Accountant/Inventory Analyst
About The Position
Senior Accountants are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting both field and corporate operations. They manage general ledger activity, perform account reconciliations, and ensure the integrity of financial data across multiple entities. They act as a key contributor within the accounting team, analyzing financial information, preparing reports, and assisting management with decision-making. Senior Accountants monitor daily transactions, support month-end close processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Their work supports financial accuracy and helps sustain efficient oil and gas operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and maintains all general ledger journal entries for Rolfson Oil and other entities as assigned
- Reconciliation of bank accounts daily, researching discrepancies and stale checks
- Reviews and reconciles revenue and purchases daily, invoices sales as needed
- Month-end balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset listing
- Data entry and daily use of QuickBooks, Excel, and banking portal
- Post payroll entries
- Special projects as directed by the Controller, CFO and other Management team members
- Maintain month-end cash reconciliations and other financial reporting
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Prepares and files fuel and sales tax returns
