This job guides accounting staff and provides training and support with respect to the departmental reporting system. Participates in the budget process by budgeting various general ledger expense accounts and guides other staff in the same task. Maintains the departmental budgeting and reporting system and produces the monthly departmental financial statements. Acts as a liaison between department directors and financial departments; analyzes assigned accounts or a specific entity's income statements, prepares journal entries and account reconciliations, implements and maintains accounting control procedures, and assists with the financial audit preparation and the coordination of the annual audit process.
