About The Position

We’re currently seeking a Senior Accountant of Corporate Accounting who be an integral part of the team to maintain and support the corporate accounting function within our Shared Services department in Lewisville, Texas. This role will play a key part in the monthly close process, responsible for executing the month-end close process as well as providing analytical insights and analysis over monthly results. The candidate must work well in a team environment and possess a drive to continually learn and grow within the business. They should have an eye for process improvement and efficiency opportunities and be attentive to detail. Ideal candidates should have an accounting degree, 3-5 years’ work experience with public accounting or construction industry preferred. CPA is not required but eligibility and desire obtain is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of construction accounting preferred
  • Proven ability to multi-task and deliver results in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Ability to convey information effectively to all levels of management and external auditors
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups for a large volume of data
  • Proficiency in large ERP environment, Viewpoint software a plus

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Eligibility and desire obtain CPA is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Significant involvement in the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses (e.g., revenue recognition, cost accruals, prepaids, and intercompany)
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes
  • Preparation of key deliverables in the Company’s internal and external reporting processes
  • Possess a mindset for continuous process improvement and skills development
  • Partner with and develop working relationships with multiple cross-functional teams, including Fleet, Operations, Tax and other GL Teams
  • Perform ad hoc projects to assist with accounting research and other internal projects
