Elemental USA and Elemental North America, represent the consolidation of four leading North American catalytic converter recycling companies —PGM of Texas, Legend Smelting and Recycling, Daniel Ball Converter Recycling, and Maryland Core, Inc.— that rebranded in 2024 to signal their evolution from the collection and processing of used catalytic converters to recovering and refining strategic metals. Elemental US and its subsidiaries are proud to be the only catalytic converter recyclers in the U.S. that own the entire recycling process – including refining and smelting. Role Overview The Senior Account Representative is a field-based role responsible for developing and supporting purchasing relationships with salvage and recycling yards. This position involves sourcing opportunities, traveling to customer locations, and purchasing catalytic converters and non-ferrous metals in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Following each purchase, the Associate Buyer is responsible for properly securing, loading, and transporting purchased materials to an assigned collection hub. At the hub, materials are unloaded, sorted, and prepared for shipment to the corporate office, with an emphasis on accuracy, accountability, and safe handling. This role combines customer-facing work, independent travel, and hands-on operations, making it well-suited for candidates who enjoy variety, autonomy, and building long-term business relationships in the field. Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Vocational or technical training a plus
  • Clean driving record with a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment screening, including background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; outside sales experience preferred
  • Prior metals industry experience not required; previous experience is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Ability to travel with possible overnight stays
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform moderate to intense physical activity
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical movements including bending, stretching, stooping, twisting, crouching, tossing/throwing, and lifting
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while driving

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional internal and external customer service related to purchasing activities and assigned customer accounts
  • Communicate and coordinate catalytic converter purchases with salvage yard managers, owners, core buyers, and brokers
  • Manage, document, and secure daily purchased inventory, including performing onsite audits and following established control processes to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations to ensure all purchases are compliant
  • Support operational needs as assigned by the supervisor, which may include:
  • Coordinating shipping and transportation arrangements
  • Preparing inventory weigh-in reports and logs
  • Assisting with training of new buyers
  • Forklift operation, when required
