Job Purpose Coordinate the creation, review, and submission of closing documents for Metals, Plastics, and Recycling Dept, and complete any required follow up activity on a monthly basis. Update and ensure accuracy of Department pricing, lead annual Dept audits, and develop efficiency improvements across Department processes.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance, or equivalent work experience (Required)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience (Required)
  • Accounting or Finance experience (Required)
  • Customer service experience (Required)
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Sound Understanding of General Business Concepts
  • Strong Excel and data management skills
  • Strong Understanding of Cost Factors Impacting Profit / Loss

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of cost accounting (Preferred)
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or relevant supply chain (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time and accurate submission of closing documents; 100% on time delivery (no missed deadlines).
  • 100% Accuracy, with countermeasures submitted for any month end failures.
  • Improve Department Efficiency - Thorough knowledge SAP procedures and Department requirements, work to evolve current processes for time/cost savings
  • Ensure accurate, timely entry of Raw Materials Pricing. Distribute pricing to required parties, and support data management in the system.
  • Act as the COE liaison between MPR Dept and COE/SAP Development. Work with systems development in order to automate and improve current procedures.
  • Provide regional closing support to Mexico MPR Dept. Train and support HTMX associates as they develop SAP closing procedures. Aid in new hire training across HTMX and HTA.
  • Lead Department meetings regarding Vendor Invoice Management, IPR, and other closing related activity. Assign responsibilities, and ensure completion of assigned activity in order to close each months books cleanly. Limit AR/AP numbers to below targeted percentages.
  • Support Department Budget Creation. Provide pricing and volume information for proper budget forecasting.
  • Communication to management - Act as a link between daily admin activity and management. Provide regular updates on concern points, data progress, and any required countermeasures to process failures.
  • Variance explanations on month end closing documents - explain why the variance exists, and what is being done to resolve the difference
  • Accurate price entry into SAP
  • Assign task responsibilities - understand associate workload and knowledge, and assign required clean up activity based on associate availabilty and ability to complete the task
  • Add to or Take from profit - Recommend profit impact/ disposition of costs
