About The Position

The Senior Account Executive is a senior-level sales professional responsible for driving new business development and expanding Adapture’s IT staffing services across both existing VAR clients and new enterprise logos. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients—understanding their technology, talent, and business needs—and delivering staffing solutions that align with Adapture’s core technical competencies. The role will work closely with, a team of technical recruiters who will source and fill open requisitions generated by the AE’s client relationships. This is a high-impact role for an entrepreneurial sales leader who thrives on building relationships, winning new clients, and connecting top technology talent with great opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT staffing or professional services sales, with a proven record of new business development.
  • Strong understanding of technology roles (infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data, software engineering, etc.).
  • Established network within enterprise or mid-market IT organizations preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in building and expanding client relationships.
  • Experience working closely with or managing recruiters in a delivery model.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience selling into or partnering with VAR, MSP, or technology solution providers.
  • Familiarity with contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire staffing models.
  • Experience with CRM/ATS systems (e.g., Bullhorn, Salesforce, or equivalent).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, identify, and close new IT staffing opportunities across both Adapture’s existing VAR client base and net-new enterprise accounts.
  • Leverage Adapture’s reputation in technology infrastructure and services to expand staffing engagements into complementary areas.
  • Lead sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations with client stakeholders (IT leaders, procurement, HR, and executives).
  • Serve as primary client contact, maintaining relationships to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and forecast staffing demand based on client initiatives and hiring trends.
  • Partner with recruiters to ensure high-quality candidate submissions and timely fulfillment.
  • Work closely with recruiting team to communicate client expectations, hiring criteria, and project priorities.
  • Provide strategic input and mentorship to recruiters to ensure alignment with client needs.
  • Collaborate with Adapture’s VAR sales, engineering, and leadership teams to cross-sell and deliver integrated technology + staffing solutions.
  • Stay current with market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in IT staffing.
  • Represent Adapture at networking events, industry conferences, and community forums to promote the brand and generate leads.
