About The Position

As a Senior Account Executive at Smartleaf, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the sales process from prospecting, qualification, pipeline development, contract close, onboarding and continued relationship management with some of the largest firms in the wealth management industry, building strategic relationships at the executive level all the way down to individual advisors and portfolio managers. You will be responsible for understanding wealth advisors’ pain points; demonstrating solution functionality and benefits to organic and partner-driven leads; creating sales plans; generating and negotiating proposals; assisting with advisor training and onboarding; transitioning new clients to the client services team; and staying in communication with the client supporting asset onboarding and potential upsell opportunities. Smartleaf is a collaborative environment focused on bringing in the right clients, not just any clients. As an individual contributor you will focus on these opportunities with support from the rest of the sales team and the company in order to break into these organizations. As the company grows, more resources could be made available. You will report to the Director of Sales and will also work closely with the company President and senior management in other areas of the business, coordinating with the marketing team to track prospect communications and sales metrics in company databases.

Requirements

  • 10 years+ of B2B sales (Bonus if this is in investment solutions sales or enterprise SaaS experience selling to wealth management firms and financial advisors)
  • Consistent above-target track record
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM (HubSpot or other), Google Drive, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word

Nice To Haves

  • Current Series 7 or Series 65 certifications
  • Experience with Seamless Ai, LinkedIn Sales Nav or similar prospecting databases
