Mission: As a Senior Account Executive you will identify potential clients, communicating with and demonstrating what Ascent has to offer and how our products can solve problems they face. You will be the main business driver for new logo accounts and landing new business working in partnership with the Microsoft Alliance team and marketing. In addition to the sales-related activities, this role is only held by the most senior individuals on the team and will require involvement in training, selection, mentoring, and advocating for the team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years successful experience in selling services or solutions, managed services background preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience of selling services to large enterprise customers with a revenue of $50 - $250M, cybersecurity industry knowledge, and experience with the Microsoft E5 platform and suite of security and compliance software.
  • Proven track record and achievement reaching/exceeding specific quota size, i.e., $5M in annual sales.
  • Experience selling contracts with a total value of $500K+ and experience in the enterprise market preferred.
  • Experience with channel sales, Microsoft partner channel preferred.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs, create and deliver customized, customer-focused experiences, pitches and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive success of the company's goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas
  • Responsible for new business and net new logos in the assigned sales territory
  • Cultivates relationships and uses Ascent Solutions sales strategies throughout multiple levels of the customer's organization to establish strong alignment on long-term goals and secure buy-in and execution.
  • Ensures pipeline, sales, and revenue goals are on target.
  • Coordinates with Pre-sales, Alliances, and Services holding self and the team accountable for delivering on quota targets.
  • Collaborates with the Ascent Sales team.
  • Leverages knowledge of and experience with Ascent and Microsoft's product and service landscape, solutions, and strategy to address customer's needs.
  • Effectively navigate through ambiguity and complexities related to client management.
  • Develops deep relationships with executive customer contacts and business decision makers.
  • Immerse self in customer business to seek customer feedback (both formal and informal) regarding ways to acquire, retain, and grow more engagement and collaboration.
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue.
