This person will be a keystone of a variety of corporate and issues management efforts, including developing intellectual property, driving thought leadership and supporting client day-day- issues and corporate news initiatives. If this sounds like you, read on! Basic Qualifications: · At least 2 years of experience in communications, marketing, and/or related fields · A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications: · Ability to understand complex issues, identify and map stakeholders, develop strategy and craft messaging to ensure clear and persuasive communications · Experience working with media on sometimes sensitive issues. · Ability to develop communications and engagement plans, implement public relations tactics and impart knowledge to more junior team members · Strong research, writing, editing, digital and client interaction skills, perform well under pressure and be a team player. · Ability to manage projects from start to finish seeking out team members and clients directly for input, collaboration, and approvals. Responsibilities: · Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence, seeking input from internal and client stakeholder teams as needed · Research, outline, write, edit and proofread materials, including media advisories, pitch letters/emails, biographies, reports and fact sheets · Act as a primary contact for inbound media, routing press inquiries across the client organization as defined by the topic/outlet and responding on client’s behalf when required. · Contribute to creation of communications and engagement plans that meet client objectives · Build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels · Prepare client media coverage and program recap reports · Facilitate internal stakeholder integration with Consumer, Research, News Monitoring, Digital etc. teams · Organize agendas, recaps and actively participate in in-person client meetings and conference calls · Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content · Help plan and coordinate traditional media outreach programs for both reactive and proactive initiatives. · Aid in new business processes including idea contributions, research and proposal preparation · Commit to continuous learning; set and pursue stretch goals
