About The Position

Semiconductor Production Technician (Level 1Ior II) operates production and metrology equipment and provides technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met, and provides technical assistance related to the sustaining and review of existing processes and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in general manufacturing or semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
  • This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information, and employees in these roles will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident, or the ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements.
  • Ability to interpret work instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
  • Ability to identify problems and solve problems as it pertains to the production schedule.
  • Knowledge of 5S protocols.
  • Developing expertise and certifications in a second area.
  • Problem solver with operations schedule.
  • Takes initiative with the production schedule and tasks to keep WIP moving.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day (where applicable).
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey quality standards, expectations, and feedback clearly to team members and stakeholders.
  • A willingness to adjust to changing circumstances, processes, or technologies for continuous improvement in dynamic environments.
  • The ability to work well with others, fostering a cooperative atmosphere, driving data management initiatives, and engaging all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Provide training and assistance to other employees on running equipment, procedures, and processes (Level II).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains safety and cleanroom protocols for the area of certifications.
  • Effective in processing WIP (Work in Process) and managing priorities throughout the area.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed to support the business.
  • Completes standard operating procedures and protocols related to process flows and quality.
  • Assist engineers in running experiments and products.
  • Learns to utilize all electronic record systems for managing WIP (MES – TME and Google Docs).
  • Maintain current on all safety and training assignments.
  • Developing expertise and certifications in a second area (Level II).
  • Takes initiative with the production schedule and tasks to keep WIP moving.
  • Monitor equipment, personnel, and area progress, and problem-solve throughout the production process.
  • Perform additional functions and other duties as assigned or required.
