Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton) LLC Conduct engineering evaluations and select Ultrapure Water (UPW) equipment for novel system architectures: Evaluate various UPW equipment options, considering factors such as flow rates, purity levels, and compatibility with existing systems. Select the most suitable equipment based on performance metrics, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards. Perform detailed engineering calculations to substantiate the design of UPW systems: Carry out complex calculations involving fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and chemical properties to ensure the UPW system meets the required specifications. This includes sizing of pumps, piping, and filtration units to achieve optimal performance. Execute comprehensive reviews of technical drawings for UPW system designs: Analyze and verify detailed engineering drawings and schematics for UPW systems. Ensure that all components are accurately represented and that the design adheres to regulatory and safety standards. Assess and determine optimal material selections for UPW system configurations: Evaluate the chemical compatibility and durability of various materials used in UPW systems. Select materials that minimize contamination risks and ensure long-term reliability and efficiency of the system. Perform advanced flow analysis of UPW system operations and provide engineering recommendations for system optimization: Utilize computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to model and analyze the flow characteristics within the UPW system. Identify potential bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and recommend modifications to enhance system performance. Conduct field engineering surveys and review new UPW system installations: Perform on-site inspections and assessments of newly installed UPW systems. Verify that installations are completed according to design specifications and industry best practices. Identify and resolve any issues encountered during the installation process. Review and approve submittals for UPW equipment and piping specifications: Examine and validate submittals from vendors and contractors, ensuring that all equipment and piping meet the required technical specifications and quality standards. Provide feedback and approval for procurement and installation. Respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding UPW system construction: Address technical queries from contractors during the construction phase. Provide detailed and accurate responses to ensure that the construction process aligns with the design intent and technical requirements. Develop and compile technical data for UPW Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from system vendors: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for RFPs, including system specifications, performance criteria, and evaluation metrics. Collaborate with vendors to clarify requirements and ensure that proposals meet the project's technical and operational needs. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
