Requirements

Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Teaching Credential - Visual Impairments
English Language Learner Authorization (i.e. CLAD, BCLAD, ELA 1, etc.)
Resume
Letter of Introduction
Transcripts (Conferral of Bachelor's degree)
Valid Driver's License
3 letters of recommendation (dated within the last 12 months, no supervisor required)
CBEST Test Results or equivalent
Knowledge of the Common Core State Standards, SJUSD curriculum and SJUSD policies
Knowledge of IDEA federal regulations
Ability to organize curriculum to facilitate student understanding of subject matter
Ability to infuse technology and other 21st Century Skills (critical thinking, problem solving, creative thinking, communication, collaboration and global citizenship) into the curriculum SELPA Special Ed Teacher (Visually Impaired)
Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school-based staff, students, parents and community
Excellent oral and written communication skills
