Assist individuals with brain injury, intellectual disabilities, and other neurological disabilities in achieving a challenging, stimulating, dignified life by serving as an advocate and liaison for and on behalf of individuals’ rights and benefits. Essential Functions: Provide supervision, training, and assistance in accomplishing activities of daily living, which includes, but is not limited to, self-care skills, social skills, recreation skills, community skills, and domestic skills. Looking for someone to provide quality respite care, supportive services and engaging play for an 8-year old child with developmental and neurological disabilities. Work or experience with children and people on the autism spectrum is a plus! Most work will take place in a comfortable home environment providing one on one attention to an imaginative child who loves building, drawing, pirates, history and adventure. Light clean up after playing. Outings to museums, parks and play spaces are encouraged. Flexible schedule and life-work balance is honored.
