Assist individuals with brain injury, intellectual disabilities, and other neurological disabilities in achieving a challenging, stimulating, dignified life by serving as an advocate and liaison for and on behalf of individuals’ rights and benefits. Provide supervision, training, and assistance in accomplishing activities of daily living, which includes, but is not limited to, self-care skills, social skills, recreation skills, community skills, and domestic skills for a 20 year old female. Seeking a Com Hab to support a Nazareth University college student who is legally blind and has high functioning autism. Candidate would transport student to campus, help them to focus in class, help them organize their homework/studies outside of class, connect study to events and peers on campus and in the community, help student navigate their environment, and build confidence to try new things. Student has varied interests, and enjoys many art mediums, animals, nature, community events and dining out.
