About The Position

ARISE is a not-for-profit agency and a leader in providing quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Direct support professional (DSP) positions work independently in people's homes and in the community - independent living skills, participating in recreation activities, budgeting skills and working on healthier habits. ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the East Syracuse area.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Valid NYS driver's license
• HS diploma/GED
• Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency
• Reliable

• Enthusiastic

Responsibilities

• Accompanying and supporting him during community outings
• Assisting him in pursuing his hobbies and interests
• Assisting him to gain independent living skills
• Assisting him with learning how to budget more and going to the gym
