About The Position

ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Skaneateles area with a young lady with a Mild Intellectual Disability. The DSP will be responsible for driving her to activities out in the community. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with household tasks, increasing cooking skills, teaching communication skills and assisting her in expanding her interests. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Her current interests are playing basketball, watching sports in person or on TV, HUGE game show fan, loves dogs, doing puzzles and playing cards. Prior experience a plus but not necessary. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. 20 hours per week, pay rate $25.00 Mileage and Staff Activity Fees included Looking for someone with Flexible days and times available.
