About The Position

ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work BACK UP shifts.... Shifts are 8am to 4pm and/or 4pm to 10pm, 7 days a week. For Back Up Staffing: Everyday 8am to 4pm and 4pm to 10pm, applicants don't have to be available for all shifts, In this role you will be trained and be added to her list of back up staff and will be called when an open shift is available. She is a college educated woman in the Riverknoll Apartments in the Baldwinsville. She uses a wheelchair and requires total assistance with activities of daily life due to a physical disability. The individual is looking for dedicated staff to assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in the community. She enjoys people watching at the park and being by the lake. Must likes cats. She has an indoor cat that lives in the home and is very important to her. The cat is very social and will want your attention. She is a HUGE Syracuse Orange fan who has a knack for creative writing, enjoys adult coloring books, using her IPAD, going to the Casino, watching sports and the food channel, surfing the internet, listening to the radio, researching new recipes to try and baking cupcakes. She and her staff will provide new hires with training. New hires will have training shifts on transfers using an electric sit-to-stand/track system. New hires must have a driver's license, as you will be driving her specialized modified minivan. Evening shifts are pretty quiet, plenty of down time as she goes to bed around 7pm... DSP can watch TV, read, bring computer etc...
