About The Position
Self-Directed Support Professional - Community Habilitation (JO-RC) Seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Clay area with a man who requires assistance due to a physical disability. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to provide him with support and assist him with maintaining his independence both at home and in community settings. His interests include, but are not limited to wine making, gardening & hydroponics, technology, and cooking. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with Personal Care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and general independence. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus. Reliable transportation and a valid New York State driver's license are required. Work hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 or 10:00 pm. Occasional back up and Holiday coverage also needed. Flexibility to fill in for other staff a plus. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Equal Opportunity Employe r Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
