About The Position

Are you a Retail industry expert ready to join a high-performing team focused on driving growth and customer success? Are you knowledgeable in both physical security and the rapidly evolving use of video surveillance technologies to gain business intelligence and operational efficiencies? As Axis’ resident expert in the Retail market, the Segment Development Manager, Retail will lead the development and execution of strategic product, marketing, and sales initiatives that increase demand for Axis offerings in the Retail industry.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Excellent relationship building, written communication, and presentation skills
  • C- level Sales consulting
  • Fluent in public speaking and presentation
  • 5+ years in business development and Retail asset protection / loss prevention
  • Expertise in video surveillance, network audio, and access control solutions
  • Proven experience in developing business and channel partnerships for security solutions
  • Established network within Retail and security industries
  • A Bachelors or higher degree - highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Marketing to build strategy and execute compelling campaigns
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, understand their unique needs, and advise them how to gain positive business outcomes using Axis technologies
  • Establish a presence and actively participate in relevant industry associations
  • Engage with media, contribute to blogs and articles, and speak at conferences, webcasts, podcasts, etc.
  • Stay current and provide guidance on government regulation impacting the Retail sector
  • Identify pressing customer needs and advise Engineering on the development of tailored solutions
  • Drive opportunities with new and existing Axis technology partners that complement and add incremental value to the Axis portfolio
  • Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, and Product and Solutions teams to assist in sales cycles and increase their knowledge of the Retail industry
