Requirements

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
• One to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have a valid Driver's License.
• Have a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain required.
• Have a Department of Transportation (DOT) Clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Greet all residents and visitors to the campus in a friendly, cheerful, and professional manner. Maintain a clean personal appearance and wear the approved uniform as required.
• Patrol/secure corridors and perimeters of the building and property. Record on daily log all incidents and activities noted during the shift while on rounds or at Customer Service Desk.
• Monitor and respond to all emergency security systems. Prepare Unusual Occurrence Reports when applicable.
• Know the community emergency procedures and perform in emergency drills.
• Valet park and assist with transporting resident(s) as requested. Schedule transportation for resident appointment.
• Assist with Life Enrichment Department setups and takedowns when needed (A.V. equipment, chairs, tables, etc.)
• Perform in-house mail deliveries.
• Perform Customer Service desk services: arrange guest room reservations, accept and dispense packages, prescriptions, flowers, etc.; operate telephone system; record resident change of status.
• Report all irregularities or needed repairs observed during daily work (Work Orders). Perform general building maintenance as needed (trash, sweep floors, deliver linens).
• Cost control: Treat company assets responsibly.
• Work agreed-upon schedule with minimal absences in accordance with the attendance policy and perform routine tasks without close supervision.
• Put team success ahead of individual interests; contribute to teamwork by demonstrating a "will-do" attitude and by working cooperatively with others, including other departments.
• See what needs to be done and accomplishes it, go beyond the basic requirements, and take an ownership attitude toward the community
• Be friendly and helpful with residents and keep a positive spirit and a well-groomed personal appearance in representing the facility.
