About The Position

The Security position within the Accommodation and Food Services industry is critical to ensuring the safety and well-being of guests, employees, and property. This role involves proactively monitoring premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches while responding promptly to incidents as they arise. The Security professional will collaborate closely with management and local law enforcement to maintain a secure environment that supports smooth business operations. By maintaining a visible presence and conducting regular patrols, the Security team member helps deter potential threats and fosters a sense of safety for all patrons. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall reputation and success of the establishment by upholding high standards of security and emergency preparedness.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Basic knowledge of security operations and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Strong observational skills and physical ability to perform patrol duties.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in security within the hospitality or food service industry.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and access control technology.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure all areas are secure.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including medical situations and disturbances.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and maintain detailed logs of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and security, including access control and visitor management.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary and provide accurate reports to management.
