About The Position

Security Support Specialist Summary Responsible for providing security support to American Centrifuge Operation, LLC (ACO). Under general supervision, providing administrative and technical support to security operations in compliance with security programs, policies, and requirements. The duties of this position require a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality. This position is responsible for ensuring Centrus/ACO credentials are accounted for (created, issued, destroyed) in accordance with approved procedures. They will also support the Personal Security organization with processing Access Authorization requests. Work is in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Highschool or GED diploma
  • Proficient computer operating skills, including working knowledge of database operations, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe to process records and generate reports, charts, and presentations.
  • Experience with NRC/DOE or other regulating agency procedures, practices, policies and requirements
  • This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
  • Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made.
  • In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.
  • Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Assist with execution of Centrus and ACO policies and procedures.
  • Review security clearance request documents for completeness/accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulation and procedures.
  • Provide clearance applicants with advice and assistance to ensure submissions are complete and comply with applicable procedures and processing requirements.
  • Capture high-quality fingerprints from applicants using digital scanners and ensure proper entry into the database.
  • Provide recommendations, answer questions, and provide guidance to internal and external personnel concerning security processes and requirements.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service when communicating with personnel.
  • Assist with research, implementation, and maintenance of procedures, training, and associated materials.
  • Assist with development and presentation of training on personnel security related topics to new or existing personnel.
  • Provide administrative support, such as maintenance of records electronically in approved database.
  • Work with various security and government databases and systems.
  • Perform Badge and Visitor Control functions: access government and/or company databases to verify clearance status, verify site-specific training, create, issue and maintain site badges.
  • May process security plans for uncleared individuals.
  • Maintain inventory of unissued access cards and other supplies and ensure the badging equipment is functioning properly.
  • Maintain Badge and Visitor Control Databases.
  • Process and distribute approved vehicle passes to site personnel.
  • Assists with plans, schedules, coordinates, monitors/reports progress to Security Manager and completes assigned security assignments.
  • Tracks security commitment related issues and corrective actions utilizing a web-based corrective actions tracking system.
  • Assist the Security Manager in planning and performance for comprehensive facility security inspection activities.
  • This position must obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
