About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Program Operations is responsible for the daily oversight of the subcontracted/vendor security, staff, clients and property including training, scheduling, and monitoring for regulatory requirement POSITION DESCRIPTION: · Conduct daily observations of the security operations to ensure compliance with the contracted services. · Ensure that all security guards are on their assigned posts, dressed in uniform and engaging staff and clients appropriately. · Ensure that all security providing services have an active license and all documents are in critical binder. · Ensure that all incidents are logged, and the appropriate reports completed as well as all incidents escalated as appropriate to DHS, and VIP Community Services. · Ensure that all security assigned for the shift are present, and time of arrival documented. · Take the lead on all issues pertaining to the clients to ensure de-escalation without incident when possible. · Ensure that all clients, staff, and visitors sign in and out of the building in compliance with FDNY codes. · Report any incidents or lack of compliance to the DPO and the Program Director immediately including (staff hurt onsite, and issues with clients). · Maintain excellent working relationships with all clients, staff, vendors, etc. · Participate in training, workshops and/or educational programs as assigned or indicated. · Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Program Operations or designee - Ensure rounds are conducted at request frequently by Security Guards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency with customer service experience in a restaurant and/or in the shelter system
  • CPR/First Aide or can be hired with the condition of obtaining within 30 days.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and work shifts associated with a department that operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak/write the English language
