As a Security Officer - Dispatch Center Operations in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech-focused environment, you will monitor and coordinate security-related activities across the location. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating clearly with appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor and manage communications, alarms, and access control systems from a dispatch location within a technology-focused environment.
  • Coordinate response teams and/or security-related personnel to incidents or events, maintaining detailed logs and records of all activities.
  • Assist with the dissemination of information regarding incidents or security-related matters to relevant parties as directed.
  • Conduct regular checks of system status and/or surveillance feeds to help to deter unauthorized activity within the premises.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and client representatives to support ongoing security-related operations and objectives.
