As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations while supporting a calm, people-first environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a guard card.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with facility leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, helping to deter unwanted activity through visible presence and timely reporting.
  • Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and onsite stakeholders.
