As an Armed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service. This post requires an armed guard card/license and offers a chance to build trusted relationships through strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of armed security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control processes, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout residential community areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify potential issues, and report findings per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying the appropriate parties as required.
  • Monitor and control entry points, gates, and/or visitor check-in procedures, verifying authorization and reporting irregularities in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete required security-related reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to onsite management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
