The Security Specialist will: Provide program security management of classified programs, studies, and pursuits Acts as primary contact for conducting all in-processing, badging, security briefings, security education and training; actively participating in Government security audits and yearly self-inspections across multiple programs Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD form 254's and security guidance Investigate security incidents and complete administrative inquiries Serve as an Accountability Officer for all aspects of document control Serve as a member of the security alarm response team Help maintain the company Standard Practice and Procedures (SPP) and other security related documentation as needed to include helping to create policy Responsible for implementing the Threat Awareness and Reporting Program Be the primary contact for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) reviews and correspondence Ensure classified contract requirements and procedures are implemented and followed Provide guidance and instructions to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately Conduct required security trainings, briefings, and debriefings Keep current with changes in industry requirements and FSO training Assure proper marking, safeguarding, and transmission of all classified materials

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret clearance
  • 5 years of experience working with Federal Government customers
  • 7 years’ relevant security experience
  • Knowledge of NISPOM, ICDs, or other DoD Security Directives
  • The flexibility to willingness to perform across all areas of responsibility: customer and company support, security, and administrative
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience serving as an FSO or in a similar capacity managing all aspects of a DCSA compliant security system
  • Experience conducting successful inspections with various government customers
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining System Security Procedures (SSPs)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of access control and alarm maintenance
  • Familiarity with the Continuous Evaluation Program
  • Experience working in teams and leading teams
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and coordinate activities within deadlines
