What does a Security Specialist do?
The Security Specialist at Vangarden Cannabis will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within our facility. This position involves performing essential routine tasks post-training on department-specific procedures, including monitoring state-of-the-art security systems such as alarms, video surveillance, and motion detectors. In the event of an emergency, the Security Specialist will lead investigations, communicate effectively, and ensure the safety of authorized visitors and Vangarden agents. Key responsibilities include overseeing facility access, verifying credentials, answering inquiries, and maintaining a visitor log. The Specialist will also conduct security checks, escort authorized personnel in restricted areas, and assist with access control via company-assigned fobs.
Additionally, interior and exterior building inspections, emergency medical response, and execution of evacuation procedures will be integral to the role, ensuring compliance with all emergency action plans while fostering a secure atmosphere for all associates.
