About The Position

The Security Solutions Architect interprets Federal Government policy, law, directives, executive orders, National Manager memoranda, CNSS instructions, and other cybersecurity requirements. This position focuses on network modernization, particularly for National Security Systems (NSS). The role requires translating technical and non-technical requirements in both directions and communicating them clearly to diverse audiences. The architect must be able to interpret, understand, identify, or provide solutions to problems in support of the OCIO and organizational units.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph.
  • This position is onsite 5/days a week in Washington, D.C.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in network architecture, segmentation, and data encryption is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets Federal Government policy, law, directives, executive orders, and CNSS instructions, translating them into actionable items.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical specifications are met within required timeframes.
  • Coordinates organizational resources to meet operational mission requirements with minimal disruption.
  • Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient use of resources in meeting defined requirements.
  • Identifies obstacles and develops innovative solutions, leveraging expertise across the organization.
  • Brings together technical staff and management to design and implement solutions that meet U.S. Government security protocols and requirements.
  • Ensures Federal security policies, guides, standards, and other requirements are met or exceeded during system design, redesign, and implementation.
  • Designs solutions based on requirements gathered from discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works with stakeholders to optimize existing systems for improved security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performs advanced security architecture work, including design, evaluation, planning, testing, and operations in support of system development, engineering, analysis, and research.
