About The Position

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Security Solution Architect . In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country. The Security Solution Architect helps with the interpretation of Federal Government Policy, Law, Directives, Standards, Executive Orders, and other requirements that are required to be implemented and its components as it relates to cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required
  • Ideal Certifications include: ISC2 CISSP, ISC2 CISSP-ISSAP, ISSAC CISM/CISA, CompTIA CASP+, CompTIA SecurityX, CCDA, CCNP, TOGAF
  • Previous experience reading, understanding and interpreting Federal Government policy, law, Directives, Standards, Executive Orders and other requirements and turning them into actionable requirements solving the specific issues addressed
  • Proven success working with internal and external stakeholders to establish project targets and timelines, then managing success implementations
  • Excellence at overcoming obstacles, innovative thinking and building partnerships that result in on time, on budget solutions
  • Experience ensuring government security, policy and governance at met and/or exceeded during design and implementation phases of a project
  • The ability to effectively communicate requirements to both technical and non-technical personnel in verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Federal Agency Clearance Requirements may require up to a 10-year background investigation - US Citizenship (clearable) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with the Department of Justice is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex and advanced security architecture work in design, evaluation, planning, testing, and operation in support of system development, engineering, analysis, and research.
  • Translate specific documents and requirements from non-technical to technical and vice versa, creating solutions that will interpret, understand, find, or provide a solution to a given problem is a required ability
  • Work with required stakeholders both internal and external to the Department of Justice to design requirements which will fulfill the technical specifications met or exceeded within the required timeframe.
  • Assist in leveraging resources throughout the Department of Justice to fulfill requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Establishes relationships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the requirements set forth within the policy/directive/standard document to allow for an effective and efficient use of resources to fulfill the requirement.
  • Interprets, adapts, and overcomes obstacles while thinking innovatively for solutions to solve the requirement while enlisting the knowledge of others in the business
  • Lead/partner with technical personnel to design/redesign and or implement solutions while ensuring all Federal government security requirements, policy, guides, standards, and other appropriate requirements.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to optimize current solutions to provide a more secure, optimized, and cost-effective solution for their system.
