About The Position

Walden Security is seeking a dedicated Security Shift Supervisor to oversee security operations and personnel at our Lake Wales, FL location. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth performance of security officers during assigned shifts and maintaining compliance with post orders and company procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security protocols, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to client needs and emergency situations.

Requirements

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Ability to pass a drug test
At least 3 years of security experience
Security Supervisor experience

Responsibilities

Oversee the performance of Security Officers on duty during their shift.
Maintain a working knowledge of Specific and General Post instructions, as well as additional and emergency post instructions.
Patrol assigned posts by walking or using a company-provided vehicle.
Conduct inspections of posts and Security Officers to ensure compliance with Post Orders, Walden Security procedures, and general post assignment knowledge.
Report significant matters or issues to the Post supervisor, Roving or Field Supervisors, and the Operations Manager.
Record daily events on the Officers Daily Reports (ODR) for review by supervisors and management.
Register at watch stations to record inspection times.
Assist in conducting on-the-job training for new Security Officers.
Respond to urgent client needs, requests for services, or changes to services.
Properly notify authorities (supervisors, police, fire department, client, etc.) of emergency situations and/or post order violations.
Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security.
Warn violators of rule infractions and expel individuals engaged in suspicious or criminal acts.
Receive general direction from supervisors and exercise direct supervision over 1-5 Security Officers.
Provide input to management regarding operations, post status, and Security Officers.
