As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting an aero and defense location in an access control post, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and monitor activity to help identify and reduce security-related concerns. You will use clear communication, maintain accurate logs, respond to questions or incidents with professionalism, and support a welcoming, high standards environment that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, people first culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Being able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Having CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to an aerospace and defense location by verifying identification, checking credentials and/or badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to approved areas.
  • Monitor entry points, alarms, and/or video systems as assigned, and report unusual activity or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with post-incident follow-up as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and/or exterior areas, including doors, gates, and perimeter lines, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
