Job Description As a Security Officer - Screening Specialist in Stockton, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will greet drivers and employees, conduct entry screening and credential checks, and support dock and yard operations with clear communication and strong customer service. You will stay visible, document security-related activity, and help to deter incidents while partnering with site teams. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Perform entry and exit screening activities such as checking identification and credentials, controlling access points, and conducting security-related screening of personnel, visitors, and deliveries as required by site policy.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or policy violations by observing operations near screening points and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, staging areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location and shift.
