This is a 6-month (July 6th-December 18th, 2026) paid co-op experience out of our Boston, MA headquarters. As a Security Risk Co-op, you will assist in the daily operations of the team as well as support key projects to achieve our 2026 goals. This person will work closely with the larger Information Security team and will collaborate with other Klaviyos in Information Technology, Product Management, Legal, Software Engineering, and more. The Risk & Trust team is responsible for both understanding Klaviyo’s internal risks and implementing key security measures to protect our customer’s data. We also build trust with our customers by communicating the strength of Klaviyo’s security, privacy, and compliance practices. Individuals in this role will have the opportunity to gain experience at an established software-as-a-service (SaaS) company and will gain experience in a unique, in-demand, growing field that encompasses aspects of risk, security, compliance, and data privacy.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student graduating in May 2027 pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Are able to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholder teams on both larger projects and individual tasks
  • Strong communication skills with a penchant for asking questions and sharing ideas, even when it might be uncomfortable to do so
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver results cross-functionally and in a timely fashion
  • Have at least one previous internship or co-op experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments (application, infrastructure, business processes, vendor/third-party, internal/first-party)
  • Assist with Safe (newly acquired tool) integration & implementation - CRQ (Cyber risk quantification)
  • Conduct risk analysis for Klaviyo’s first and third-party vendors
  • Support the Security Risk team in daily operations such as triaging risks, follow-ups with mitigation strategies, etc.
