As a Security Professional - Utilities Patrol Driver in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a utilities environment, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the location to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure atmosphere. This is a driving post, so you will use company or client vehicles as part of your patrol duties. You will maintain a visible presence, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with both visitors and team members. Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or access. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or property damage encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, Allied Universal management, and/or law enforcement as required.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Assist in controlling access to the location, verifying credentials as necessary.
  • Remain alert to potential risks and escalate concerns according to site protocols.
