As a Security Professional - Retail Mall Patrols in Manhattan Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor retail or mall locations, conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible security-related presence.
- Document and report incidents, observations, and any maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
- Assist with crowd management and help to deter disruptive behavior within the retail or mall environment.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site staff to address concerns and provide assistance as needed.
