About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrols in Spanish Fork, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, assist with access control, and utilize technology as part of your daily responsibilities. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a retail or mall environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site policies.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, maintaining communication with Allied Universal and site management as necessary.
Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
