Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the retail environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to support a welcoming atmosphere and help to deter potential disturbances.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
Document and report security-related incidents and/or suspicious activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
Remain alert to surroundings and potential hazards while on patrol, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the retail location.
