As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols within a healthcare setting. Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to provide proof of vaccination as required by hospital policies.
• Must be able to perform duties in or around morgue facilities within a hospital environment.
• Must be able to assist with restraining individuals as required in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and observe for irregularities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
• Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a helpful presence.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and local emergency responders as necessary during emergency situations or drills.
• Remain visible and approachable to help to deter escalation of conflicts or disturbances within the location.
