As a Security Professional - Government Armed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and/or the client.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required for the location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and report findings to the appropriate personnel following company protocols.
- Assist with access control measures, checking credentials or identification as needed to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Participate in emergency response activities, following established protocols for the location.
- Maintain thorough and accurate logs or reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required.
