As a Security Professional - Chemical Site Patrol in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication and professionalism. Requirements

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while adhering to protocols relevant to chemical and petrochemical locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities and/or conditions to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures and coordination with site personnel, as required by the location's protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident and/or shift reports as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
