As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and respond to situations as needed, all while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, keeping in mind the unique needs of a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or conditions and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines for chemical and petrochemical environments, including any required documentation or reporting.
