As a Security Professional - Badge Access Control in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and managing entry to a dynamic tech environment. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remain visible to assist visitors and employees, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting a welcoming atmosphere. Your work will contribute to a collaborative and people-focused culture, where reliability, agility, and integrity are valued every day.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in a tech-focused environment.
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of site-specific policies and procedures related to access control.
  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by responding to inquiries, giving directions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as outlined in site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related issues.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment at the location.
