Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
Have one or more years of law enforcement experience or two or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or three or more years of security experience.
Possess an armed guard card or armed guard license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
Work closely with local authorities and emergency response teams during incidents as required by site protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to provide a visible presence and help to deter unwanted activity.
Follow all site-specific procedures for armed patrols, including the handling and storage of assigned equipment.
