As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist guests and tenants with professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrols, clear communication, and accurate reporting as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $24.31 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM Fri 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, lost children, and other service requests, and notifying appropriate parties as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entrances, corridors, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter policy violations and identify hazards, unusual activity, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, follow visitor and contractor entry procedures, and observe CCTV and/or alarm activity when assigned, reporting suspicious behavior and coordinating with mall management and law enforcement when needed.
• Complete required logs and incident reports, document actions taken, preserve relevant information for investigations, and communicate shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
