As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will complete routine patrols and visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, assist guests and tenants with directions and concerns, and document observations with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every interaction.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with on-site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, service corridors, loading areas, and parking locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor for and report suspicious activity, unsecured doors, property damage, and/or maintenance concerns, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken in detailed reports.
Support access control and visitor management as assigned, including providing directions, assisting with lost and found inquiries, and helping manage pedestrian and/or vehicle traffic during peak shopping periods and special events.
