Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, helping maintain a welcoming environment through visible patrols, routine rounds, and prompt reporting of security-related concerns. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. You will assist guests and tenants with professional customer service, clear communication, and a people-first approach, while supporting a team that values integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and retail patrons by carrying out security procedures, location-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with on-site management and/or local responders when needed.
  • Monitor access points and common-area activity, verify credentials or authorizations when required, and provide directions and assistance to visitors.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
