Our Security Officers monitor and patrol a residential community, conducting visible driving and foot patrols that help to deter security-related concerns while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support residents and guests, respond to incidents, and contribute to a caring, agile team at Allied Universal that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and report relevant details according to site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and/or vehicle activity to help support community rules and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or property concerns and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
