About The Position

As a Security Officer Gated Community in Laguna Niguel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control, and conduct routine patrols that help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity in accordance with location guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with property management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, gates, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Assist with enforcing community rules related to access, parking, and visitor entry while maintaining professional interactions with residents, guests, and/or delivery personnel.
